Learn To Love Being Alone (Even If You Hate It At First)

By

There will be times in our lives that we can’t rely on someone, whether it is something big or small, we have to rely on ourselves. At some point in our lives we are faced with numerous challenges that we need to resolve on our own. There will be times in our lives we can’t always lean on someone and that’s okay because it will help you build yourself into independence.

Most people don’t like being alone because it makes you look like a loser, weird, lonely, etc. But that’s just a quick judgement people make when you encounter them and it shouldn’t affect you. We live in today’s world needing validation from almost everyone, trying to please everyone even when sometimes it causes us to breakdown when we’re all alone but that shouldn’t be the case. There will be people that will love and support you and there will be those who will just bring you down but don’t let them affect you because you are so much more than what they make up to be.

Learning to love your own company means that you’re comfortable with yourself. You will be able to learn to love and accept yourself more, because it will give you time to reflect and analyze more things about yourself. It can make you feel so much better about yourself because you will be able to learn to accept yourself for who you are and without the need of validation from people that may only try to bring you down. This will help you see the world without others interrupting or even giving opinions because the most important opinion that matters should be the one that comes freely from yourself. It will also be the time where you are able to work on bettering yourself and building up so much confidence. Lastly, it will make you learn to appreciate the little things around you more.

Why not just sit and read a book, try doing something that you’ve wanted to try for so long, take a walk and appreciate the scene in front of you, work out at the gym, try cooking something new, etc. There are so many things that you can do by yourself.

Learning to love your own company doesn’t mean that you’re alone but rather you won’t mind being alone every now and then because you are confident and comfortable enough with yourself. Remember that God made you wonderfully as he made everything else in this world, appreciate yourself for you are a work of God.
