When we talk just for the sake of talking, we keep floating on that surface level, never finding out what might be hidden underneath.
In a real fairytale, the young man realizes that he kind of found his princess a bit too soon – I mean, there are still lots of kingdoms he wanted to check out on his own, before actually going back and settling down.
Traveling has made me realize that home is not something we are born into – it is something we build.
The thing is, that even though it’s great to have people who got your back and support you, there are still some things in life that you have to go through on your own.
You are expected to do all of those things that mostly contradict each other, to be walking down on many different paths at once, while they are all leading in different directions and they are only rarely crossing each other.
Arrogance doesn’t come from confidence, it comes from the opposite – the insecurity.
I don’t want to live in that nice little bubble that so many people live in. The bubble where everything is pretty, easy and comfortable.
The thing is, people are different. They believe in different things, they care about different stuff and they have different values And they might be in a completely different phase of their lives at the time you meet and heading in different directions – and you have no idea where they started from and how they got there. And that’s ok.
Realize that not knowing what the future holds for you is not just the scariest thing about life – it’s also the best thing about it.
