Britney’s hit “…Baby One More Time” made her the first solo artist to ever have a number one album and single on the Billboard charts at the same time as a debut.


Britney starred in the 2002 movie Crossroads. You probably didn’t know the movie was written by Scandal star Shonda Rhimes.


Bringing the pop culture at the time full circle, Britney receives the necklace from hit movie Titanic in her music video “Oops! I Did It Again”. She asks the astronaut, “But I thought the old lady dropped it into the ocean in the end?” He quickly assures her, “well babe, I went down and got it for you.” Fun fact: That astronaut went on to become a surgeon!


Britney’s 2001 VMA performance became one of the most memorable performances in VMA history. She danced with a yellow python and was terrified of the snake, even breaking out into hives before the show. You would never know it thought from her amazing performance!

In 2005, Britney and Kevin Federline filmed their own TV show called Chaotic. The show only aired for a month and proved that love truly is blind.


Britney had her husband Kevin Federline’s Ferrari towed from their home after coming home to his never ending partying. The paparazzi published photos of it loaded up on the tow truck, and Britney fans everywhere could be heard rejoicing. Is this when we die hard fans started calling her Godney? Likely.


Lady Gaga originally wrote “Telephone” for Britney, but she passed on the song. This would have been a magnificent collaboration, just saying.


In 2007, Britney shocked the world by shaving her head. She was also seen going after the paparazzi with an umbrella. This led to the famous meme “If Britney can make it through 2007, then I can make it through today. This meme gets more and more relatable the older I get.
