10 Reasons To Countdown To The 2013 MTV VMAs

I am that girl who wakes up on the morning of an award show, does a twirl or two & gleefully sets up her DVR for the red carpets, interviews & production. God forbid, there are any recording conflicts. Why? Because award show season is the holiday season for me. Merry Chrismukkah, everyone.

#1. I predict, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to sweep everything. For this Seattle girl, there is nothing more beautiful & sweet than seeing her city rise in such a dignified way. #samelove

#2. Justin Timberlake is reportedly reuniting with N*SYNC. Um. I think the teenage girl in me just started sweating. Hey, Hey…BYE BYE BYE!!! I know you had that chorography memorized, too. Sometimes it comes out on karaoke night. Am I right?

#3. Lady GaGa aka the female Andy Warhol (with how she is depicting herself these days) will be opening the show. I am intrigued. America is intrigued. Mother Monster has a lot to prove following up to her previous smash record.

#4. Will Miley Cyrus twerk on stage? Will she? And will she hump a life size teddy bear?

#5. The sweet, sweet crooning of Bruno Mars will be an addition to the VMAs from the Barclay center in Brooklyn. That man Mo-Towns into my heart on a daily basis. I hereby proclaim “Treasure” to be the jam of the summer.

#6. Who will steal Taylor Swift’s award this year? Obviously can’t be Kanye. So…Chris Brown, maybe?

#7. I really, really just want to see Katy Perry & John Mayer look into each other’s eyes. I’ve been team Mayer-Perry since it’s beautiful, beautiful birth.

#8. Pink (ft. Nate Reuss of Fun.) is nominated for Best Female Video. The woman never ceases to amaze me with her pop ballads, unbelievable athletic performances and pitch perfect harmonies. I’m pulling for her on this one.

#9. Rihanna on the red carpet. Pinterest will not know what to do with itself.

#10. It’s the VMAS people! Pop Culture history has been established through the years on this platform. If you don’t believe me, watch this:
